To To guide young men toward emotional resilience, self-awareness, and peace through nature, mentorship, holistic counseling, and true community.
Many juveniles incarcerated in detention centers have histories of trauma, mental health disorders, and substance abuse. Ensuring that young people are provided with the support and resources needed is essential to breaking the cycle of violence, school dropouts, and incarceration. Research on emotional regulation in nature has proven to be effective in reducing youth violent responses. Nature-based programs improve mental health, build empathy, and foster long-term resilience.

is a licensed professional counselor, owner and lead therapist of ALIGN Wellness, a counseling agency in Chattanooga. He started his career as a school-based and in-home therapist, working with families and children. Noticing the lack of men—especially Black men—seeking therapy, he shifted his focus to addressing the barriers preventing men from pursuing mental health support. He began engaging with the community through health fairs, speaking in churches, and partnerships to spark conversations and reduce stigma. Jay’s passion and purpose is to help people heal.

While serving 14.5 years in prison starting at age 18, Dylan transformed his life and dedicated himself to helping others in his community. As the co-founder of a non-profit organization committed to helping his neighbors navigate difficult circumstances, Mr. Bryant has built life-changing relationships with the community for the past seven years.
He served as a mentor through Kingdom Partners, increasing partnerships with youth, families and the community. Through his own lived experience, Mr. Bryant saw the need for a focus on mental health as a significant coping skill necessary for long-term sustainability. He agrees that emotional regulation in nature as a missing link in the current violence prevention strategies and juvenile reentry programs.
Antoine brings a life story that speaks to perseverance, accountability, and transformation. A gunshot survivor and federal prison alumnus, Antoine knows firsthand the challenges many young people face.
At age 25, he was sentenced to federal prison, where he committed himself to change. While incarcerated, he completed the 500-hour Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP), earning a one-year sentence reduction, and graduated from the BRAVE program — an intensive mentorship and rehabilitation program for first-time offenders under 25 serving five years or more.
During this time, Antoine faced his greatest personal loss: the death of his 6-year-old son, who was killed in the tragic Woodmore Elementary School bus crash while Antoine was still incarcerated. This devastating event deepened his resolve to live with purpose and become the role model he would have wanted his son to see. Today, Antoine uses his story to inspire, guide, and mentor youth toward healthier decisions and brighter futures. As a father, community advocate, and Rise & Thrive board member, he works to break cycles of violence, teach emotional regulation, and help young people build the skills they need to rise — and thrive
